This is a concept that I've been mulling over since shortly before I finished my last piece. It was partially inspired by Halsey's "Gasoline" as the song reminds me of Rika/Ruki early in her character development. The disintegrating effect was one of the key elements of the concept, with everything else being built around the idea. It took a fair bit of fighting to get it looking the way that I wanted it but ultimately I'm happy with the result. The background was created with a number of Digimon themed brushes that I've had gathering dust in Photoshop.
